Meditation improves memory and brain health and lengthens chromosome life (via telomere repair). Meditation reduces anxiety and depression and improves mood and wellbeing. Julie Rake MSPAS PA-C spent 15 years practicing family medicine but became disenchanted being restricted to offering quick visits, merely diagnosing disease and prescribing multiple synthetic pharmaceutical drugs. Julie understands the power of meditation to prevent disease, improve health and increase happiness. She will give a brief overview of the history, science and benefits of meditation and teach various samples so participants can determine which type best resonates with them. At the very minimum participants will leave the class feeling a deep sense of peace, a better mood and maybe even improved sleep that evening.
