American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialists
The certification program consists of two levels representing distinct levels of knowledge, training and supervisory skills: Level I - Basic, and Level II - Advanced. The program and curriculum for Level II are being developed. Information will be published as it becomes available. The initial term of certification is three years for Level I - Basic.
AACBIS also certifies Clinical Instructors and Examiners who provide training in brain injury services and evaluation of Level I applicants. The initial term of certification is five years for Clinical Instructors and Examiners.

Coastline's ABI Program is a demanding two-year educational program designed to provide structured cognitive retraining for adults who have sustained a brain injury due to traumatic (such as a motor vehicle accident or fall) or non-traumatic (such as a non-age-related stroke, brain tumor or infection) injuries.

The Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists (ACBIS)
Offering a national certification program for both entry-level staff and experienced professionals working in brain injury services. ACBIS provides the opportunity to learn important information about brain injury, to demonstrate learning in a written examination, and to earn a nationally recognized credential.
TACE Region 8 is offering a training program geared toward preparing for the CBIS examination. This training will be delivered in an all distance format with teleconference calls on February 27, March 19 and April 16, 2012. All study sessions will be delivered in a teleconference format from 1:00-3:00 pm (MT).
